At drinktec 2017, Taiyo will present versatile tea extracts with a range of health benefits under the Sunphenon® banner. Distinguished by their high polyphenol and catechin content and their proven antioxidant effects, Sunphenon® extracts come in powder form and are easy to use. In water, the functional ingredient dissolves completely and thus offers numerous application possibilities.
Sunphenon® tea extracts are exclusively made from green tea leaves. Due to their high content of secondary plant compounds, they are credited with many positive properties, including antioxidant, antimicrobial, odor-suppressing and thermogenic effects. Taiyo will also showcase a refreshing everyday product development based on the raw extracts: Sunphenon® instant teas. In addition to green tea leaves, rosehip fruits and leaves from the mulberry tree or the Pu-erh or Qingmao tea bush (a subspecies of Camellia sinensis) are used for their production. Available in natural and flavored options, they are also highly soluble in cold water, allowing for quick, delicious and healthy tea enjoyment at any time, and also perfect for iced tea. Trade visitors to the Taiyo stand will be able to convince themselves of this first hand.
Whether as a high purity green tea extract with or without caffeine or as a ready-to-use instant powder, during production of Sunphenon® tea extracts, Taiyo always places the highest value on safety, purity and quality. This means that, for example, the extracts fulfill the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s stringent pesticide regulations for tea.

At the same time, the bean extract acts as a dietary fiber with beneficial effects for digestive and intestinal health.
In addition, Taiyo will be offering attendees the opportunity to taste “alternative” energy drinks based on matcha and green tea with coenzyme Q10.
