Frutarom’s FenuLife® is a unique source of deodorized galactomannan fiber derived from fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum) that has been proven to be effective in the prevention of GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux disease), support of weight loss and maintenance of healthy blood glucose levels.
FenuLife® is a soluble fiber with a high water-binding capacity. When ingested or mixed with water, FenuLife® forms a gel-like viscous mass that fills the stomach and:
• serves as a barrier against stomach acid, pepsin and food components that may promote heartburn,
• increases the feeling of satiety,
• slows down the absorption of sugar from food.
The gel formed lasts for a longer period of time, due to the unique molecular structure of FenuLife®: 1:1 ratio of galactose to mannose, which resists enzymatic breakdown greater than other galactomannan gums. This allows FenuLife to retain its water-binding ability for a longer period of time.
